For the first time in its 54-year history, CES 2021 has adopted a virtual format only.
This was necessary, of course, due to the current global coronavirus pandemic. And this was the best solution than canceling the event altogether. WHAT IT IS? CES is a consumer electronics trade show. Since its inception in 1967, it has become the launching pad for many thousands of products, including those that have changed our lives like edifice watches. The exhibition is usually held in an indoor area of 2.75 million square feet. In 2020, it was attended by about 4,500 exhibiting companies, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of equipment and content for consumer technology. This was accompanied by a conference program with over 1000 speakers. But things are different in 2021, and we definitely haven't seen the scenes from the picture above. The event was held in a fully digital format. You could follow him from home and not drive to Las Vegas. After today, the digital platform will be open to those who registered before February 15th. This should give you enough time to communicate with exhibitors and program responses. Most of the tech events in 2020 were virtualized or canceled. Mobile World Congress 2020 was not held in Barcelona, and Apple held an online version of its Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The Wearable Tech show in London did take place in early March, but it was much smaller than usual. IFA 2020 Berlin has adopted a virtual format combined with some live meetings. Sad but understandable given the circumstances that events are changing format. Let's hope things get better soon. WEARABLE ELECTRONICS DEVICES AT CES 2021 Wearable technologies usually showcase well at CES. In 2020, we saw the launch of the Huami Amazfit Bip S and T-rex, the opening of the Muse S, Withings Scanwatch, Suunto 7, UrgoNightband, Diesel On Fadelite, NURVV Run, Skagen Falster 3, Mobvoi Ticpods Pro 2 casio and many more. Garmin were represented, along with Huami, Samsung, Fossil and Omron. However, many big names were missing from the list. This includes Fitbit, Polar, Huawei, Mobvoi, Withings, Suunto, and the usual absent Apple. Below are the wearable devices and medical technologies that piqued our interest in 2021. AIRPOP ACTIVE + AirPop Active + is the smartest mask you can buy. It returns breathing tracking to normal functions, allowing you to better understand your health. Unfortunately, we've gotten used to seeing people wearing masks over the last year or so. We wear them ourselves. They can protect us and others from dangerous viruses. That in itself is a good reason to wear them, but what if they could have more? Well, this is 2021 and they can. ALL THANKS TO AIRPOP ACTIVE +. This is a new mask equipped with AirPop's Halo sensor. The razabotka behind her calls it the first smart face wearable device. Its main trick is that it captures health data by recording the user's breathing rate. Of course, the mask doesn't have a display. It really would be an overly advanced mask. Instead, the mask works in conjunction with a smartphone app. AI in software matches indoor breathing information with outdoor air quality and your location. What's more, the app will tell you when it's time to change the filter. The Halo sensor is powered by a tiny coin cell battery that needs to be replaced every six months. You can see this in the image below - it is outside the mask. The filter fits snugly against the mask. When the active mode is on, the mask will give even more data. This includes breathing cycles and information such as breaths per minute, breaths while maintaining pace, etc. Plus it looks good! If I may say so about any mask ... You can be sure that the filters inside the mask block more than 99% of pathogens, including dust, allergens, particulate matter and germs. AirPop says the mask comes with four filters. Each has its own code, which is registered in the supplied smartphone app. At the moment, we are required to wear masks. Let's hope it doesn't last long. In the meantime, you can use these extraordinary circumstances to collect additional data about your health. The mask will go on sale in the US and Canada later this month on AirPopHealth.com, and in the first quarter from other retailers.
