Hair may be lifeless appendages, but one of our most conspicuous external features. They contribute a lot to the personal appearance and are often regarded as a sign of our condition. Understandable, therefore, that damage to the head or failure of the splendor in many affected affect the well-being.
How fast grow hair? From a formal point of view, hair is only dead matter - an appendage of the skin, which is formed in the hairy spine and finally fires. The flexible and tension-resistant horn threads are embedded in the hair follicles, at the end of which new hair cells are produced. These push the old hair cells upwards by about 0.30 millimeters per day. The outer layer of hair is similar to a pine cone and consists of several interlocking scales, which are connected to one another. The hair growth in humans runs in different cycles, ie some hair grow, while others are in the resting phase. Various factors such as age, season and hormone levels also play an important role. Causes of damage Although dead and largely unnecessary - for many people, hair is considered a beauty symbol. However, numerous influences can damage the hair. This is especially noticeable in summer. If hair is attacked from the outside, for example by intensive UV radiation, the flakes are displaced. The result: they no longer reflect the light uniformly in one direction, but on different sides. The shine is lost, the hair is brittle and dull. If it is badly affected, it becomes even brittle. Not only the sun, also chlorine from the swimming pool attacks the hair structure, makes it dull and rough. Blonded hair can turn green by a chemical reaction when it comes into contact with chlorine. Salt water also increases the hair. The salt crystals reflect the light, intensify the sun effect and thus the danger of hair damage. In addition, hot blow dryers add to the hair and makes them dry and brittle. External "hair enemies" at a glance: Mechanical effects: intensive combing, brushing or topping, tight tying, especially always in the same place Chemical effects: tinting, dyeing, bleaching, permanent waves, frequent washing with alkali-containing shampoos, bathing in chlorine or salt water Physical influences: Sun or UV radiation, excessive heat from the hair dryer False or one-sided dietary habits can also affect the hair, as well as acute and chronic diseases. Hair care - Protection and care Hair needs protection from sunlight and other harmful influences. You should pay attention to this - not only in summer holidays: Protection against UV light: Whether a hat or hat with a wide brim - the main feature of the hair is hidden from the sun. Popular are also headscarfs, which consist only of a triangle and are not bound under the chin, but at the back head. Hair rinsing: After the bathing, the hair should be rinsed with fresh water, whether in the sea or in the chlorine water. Salt crystals or aggressive chemicals are best removed. Afterwards, gentle drying with a terry cloth is more favorable than rubbing off, in which the hair rubs too much and rubs. Do not forget the hat or the headscarf. To put it into shape: Hair dryer applied before blow drying envelops the hair like a film and thus provides protection from the hot air. For combing, a coarse-tipped specimen is more favorable than a fine comb or a brush. In the "thinning" of longer hairs, the strands are best combed through from head to toe, one by one, thus avoiding haircuts, which can only be laboriously unraveled. The hair will also thank it when it is worn - even in warm weather - from time to time. Protect your hair Besides these measures also help care products in protecting the hair. On holiday are especially gentle, Shampoos tuned to the hair type. They should contain mild detergents (surfactants) and, if possible, do without dyes. Cheap products are products that contain care products for dry, damaged hair. Have you tried Cinderalla Solutions for protection. Another possibility is to add rinses. They also surround the hair like a film, which makes it easier to comb it and is slightly protected from external influences. After washing, rinses are applied to the damp hair and rinsed out immediately. So-called hair treatments contain even more care products. They smooth the hair structure. As a rule, they must act for a few minutes and are then washed out again. There are, however, also intensive cures which act shorter, and those which remain in the hair. Tip: When splitting, ie attacked hair tips, apply the cure only to the tips and do not wash out again. The active ingredients can thus act in a targeted manner. What remedies are right for my hair? A shampoo with a mixture of apricot kernel and sanddorn fruit meat oil provides dry hair with fat and moisture, without leaving it striking. For sensitive hair attacked by chlorine water, a shampoo can help with wheat proteins. The wheat protein lays down around the hair and increases the resistance and combability. If the hair has already suffered somewhat, chamomile and panamarine are correct. This "soap bark" is a particularly mild detergent, which is extracted from the bark of the evergreen tree. If the hair needs additional care, a hair treatment with rosemary and burdock oil can be sensible. It regenerates scaly scalp , improves the structure of brittle hair, provides dry hair and makes it shine again. The Intensive Program Last but not least there are also special after-sun cure packs with repairs. They usually contain similar active and care products as rinses, soften and so coat damaged hair and make them shine again. However, an attacked hair structure can not be repaired at all. However, it is improved. Dyed hair needs special attention in summer. The dyeing means an interference with the hair structure. Stresses such as salt or chlorine water and sunlight also add to the hair. Special color rinses and cures should not only protect the hair and make it combable, but also prevent bleaching. If the color needs to be refreshed, it should be waited until after the holiday. Home remedies for healthy hair Household remedies are also effective when the hair has been very much used: beer, egg yolk or an oil pack makes the hair surface smooth and shiny. Beer and egg yolk are massaged into damp hair and rinsed immediately. For example, olive oil is carefully rubbed into the hair and left overnight. A shower or an old towel protects the sheets. Then wash with a mild shampoo. In addition, preparations for oral intake provide for the necessary strengthening and maintaining of the hair from the inside - please consult your pharmacist. 7 tips for proper hair care Use mild shampoos. Scrub your hair after washing not dry with the towel. Use gentle care products adapted to the individual hair type. Long wash intervals protect your hair. Rinse the hair after each hair wash (and after each bath in chlorine or salt water) with copious, possibly cool water. Do not bleach your hair too hot. The most gentle way is to dry the hair in the air. Use a comb with widely spread tines and smooth, rounded edges.
