Why Today's Education Kills the Creative Thinking

1/3/2018

The system of education adopted in modern schools and universities leads to the emergence of an inter-layer completely devoid of creative thinking. At school, we were told that you do not need to "stick out", you need to be like everyone else. In higher education institutions, education is often more like a moral and psychological humiliation of students. It must be recognized that a truly talented person can independently achieve success and find such knowledge necessary for creativity and realization.

However, what about the modern system of higher education specially online sources i.e PK Planet? What do students need to know about admission and how to distinguish quality education from archaic imitation?

What is creative thinking?

The most amazing feature of the human mind, of course, is creative thinking. This is the ability not to act on a previously mastered algorithm, but to approach the solution of problems using all the available in the arsenal of creativity.

Creativity and creative thinking are extremely useful skills of modern man. After all, at the present stage of technological development computers do not master only creative ways of solving intellectual problems.

What does modern education offer us?

Modern higher education fills students with information that does not even come in handy for future work i.e BA Educational Notes.

At the same time, because of this "necessary minimum," you have to learn quite a lot. A lot of information is not needed at all - it creates a "mess" in your head, does not bring anything useful, but you need to teach it - otherwise sanctions may follow (bad grades, failure to attend a college session).

Constant repetition of the same thing, the excess of unnecessary information, together with periodic lack of sleep, turns a person into that "computer" that is devoid of creative thinking and is accustomed to act only on the initially given algorithm.

If, for example, ten years ago people with higher education were very appreciated, now everything has changed very much.

Previously, in the abilities and skills of people with higher education no one doubted, it was believed that if it is, it means that a specialist of the highest level

Today, higher education has greatly depreciated. Universities and specialties has become very much - only a lazy person walks without a "tower".

At the same time, in the modern world, the ability to think in an unconventional and unconventional way is really valued, and employers assess the students' creativity and skills, not the name of the university or the quality of education.

Why is creative thinking really important?

The society does not encourage non-standard thinking. But at the same time in the modern world there is a global war for talents - many well-known companies take colossal measures to attract the best minds. Bright and extraordinary personalities become the dream of employers, but they are all harder to find. The reason, first of all, in the education system - it forms our way of thinking and decision making, which we automatically transfer to reality.

The system that still operates is a relic of the 19th century, when industrialization required "factory" knowledge. But the main value of our time - entrepreneurship, requires completely different approaches.

Creative thinking and creativity need to be constantly developed and encouraged, practiced daily. Your brain alone can not "give birth" to the right idea at the same time. Unfortunately, many of the students and students do not have such an opportunity in school and university.

What to do?

The ability to think creatively is a prerogative not only for students and schoolchildren. Now, learning is a continuous process throughout life. However, it is in the student's years to develop creative thinking is most important.

It is necessary to recognize that innovative technologies make learning almost completely independent and extremely interesting - exciting online courses, training videos, free webinars. There is an opportunity to listen to the course and have a certificate, for example, Harvard. Outdated models and approaches to teaching can only kill the interest in the education of students, and with it, and prevent personal self-realization. But is it worth to give up education at all?

Education is a subtle art of giving people of very different ages knowledge about the difficulties and problems they will face in real life. Self-education in the modern world a person is simply necessary, but this method has its drawbacks. Acquiring skills and skills, we will be able to apply them only in the relations in which they are obtained. You can simply "cook in your own cauldron". Higher education, all the same you need.

Distance Education and Disability: the Keys to Success

When the specialized school is too far away, does not have room for them or families ask for a period of reflection on an orientation, distance education is a solution for many pupils with disabilities.

Distance education and disability: the keys to success

For a few months, a year, or even all the schooling, students can follow their distance education, from the large section of kindergarten to higher education. The key to success: a lot of self-discipline and personal investment. But isolation is the major disadvantage of this type of schooling. The solution to limit the effects, participate if possible in activities outside and take advantage of the help that can bring the Cned .

Home support
Very often distance education is based on families, a commitment for parents that should not be minimized. In order to help students and their families, Cned accompanies its courses of booklets and documents on line allowing to better organize. The students are individually monitored by national education teachers, who are responsible for supervising them and can also contact the teacher advisers attached to each site to request information on the content and help the organization. Phone or internet tutorials exist for some courses (in high school, tutoring for all levels and disciplines).

Students under the age of 16, if they are recognized by the MDPH or if they have obtained a favorable opinion from the doctor of the academy can benefit from the home intervention, a volunteer teacher repeater paid by the Cned, 3 hours a week. One condition however, this service can be put in place only if a volunteer is found in the perimeter where the student lives. For college and high school, the request is studied by the social worker and the school doctor of Cned.

An innovative solution: shared schooling
Traditionally, students with disabilities, enrolled in Cned, were followed only in the family environment. But more and more, they attend partially the establishment of origin, which allows them not to break the link. Shared schooling is also set up for students with disabilities who are cared for by specialized institutions (IEM, places to live, Itep, day hospitals, etc.) who can not offer them schooling. In high school, conventions allow the student to attend a free auditor to courses in institutions in order not to cut themselves off from school life. This type of schooling can be done, depending on the case, under the PPS with the agreement of the academic director of the services of the National Education.

Digital help
The student, once registered, receives his courses, documents, internet access. This organization is substantially the same from school to higher education. The courses are not adapted to this or that type of handicap, the pupils are in very different situations. These are the courses that school counselors strive to develop on a case-by-case basis with families. Gradually, Cned is moving towards digital and puts training online. This improves the accessibility of the courses. Another advantage, this partly solves the problem of congestion posed by the paper supports of hospitalized students.
